There's been quite a lot of activity going on in the anime industry lately, and as well as with mzanime.com! All news, and updates to this web site are posted below.
Site Updates
01.10.07 A New Day...
A new day will soon arrive. Yes, my friends, mzanime is headed for a serious upgrade.
And the reason I'm letting you know ahead of time is because its only through the input of
your feedback that you can help me make this web site better than it's been in the past.
There is quite an extensive list of features which I'd like to see added, some of which are: More flash movies, more wallpapers, more screen mates, a blog, an RSS feed, a search engine(?), a sitemap, better usability, sweepstakes (again), and overall just a better mzanime for you and me.
What do you want to see in 4.0? I'd love to hear some suggestions.
The expected launch date is not confirmed yet, but when 4.0 is almost finished, I'll post the official launch date.
01.08.07 The Americans Don't Like Me?
For those who (like me) fight the trends of globalization, and are intrigued
by other cultures (besides the USA), and who dare admit they listen to music
which they can't understand, BE PROUD!
But it's sad though, that one of my favorite japanese pop artists Utada Hikaru (who is said to have more of an R&B sound) turned out a failure of her American debut soundtrack. She's huge in Japan though.
And it's not because her songs are bad, no siree, but rather because most americans had no clue who the heck Utada was.
But mzanime is going to set the record straight! Download this music video, and if you like it, check out what other j-pop videos we have, or go and purchase one of her CD's. You won't regret it.

01.05.07 Tokyo Godfathers
For the longest
time, I thought this would be your typical run-of-the-mill documentary anime. In other words: it would be so boring I
would sleep through it better than I would if I was high on Lunesta.
But to my surprise, once again, anime has proven me wrong.
Actually it was an endearing, and at times humorous movie featuring an abandoned baby who gets taken into the care of two homeless men (one of whom is gay) and a runaway teenage girl. What else can I say? That in itself, makes the plot sound interesting to say the least.
Check out the official Tokyo Godfathers web site.
12.15.06 Video games! Whoo-hoo!
Over the weekend I watched various anime movies, namely: DesertPUNK,
and SteamBoy. I also went out and bought Wipeout Fusion, River King,
and Musashi: Samurai
Legend for my Playstation 2. At first I kind of had my doubts as to whether this game would be worth it or
not. But low and behold, it was actually a very fun and entertaining game.
In the first game, Musashi was a little kid, but he appears to be in his late teens in this game. If you haven't played this game, its worth checking out. It's basically an Action/RPG type of game, and all of the fighting takes place in real time, you just walk up and start slashing.
In fact, I like the game so much I decided throwing up a new wallpaper gallery dedicated to it!
12.08.06 New Screen Shots!
This brand-new screen shot gallery is basically just some of my personal favorite, most memorable moments from various anime titles that I've watched. And remember, these original captured shot's can't be viewed from anywhere else on the 'net.
If you're like me, these shots will bring back some fond memories for you too. Enjoy!
11.19.06 Cool New Anime Wallpapers!
I'm very happy to announce that (finally) new wallpapers have been added to the
gallery! Here's a preview of some of them.
