Strawberry Marshmallow Review

Strawberry Marshmallow can best be described as "super sweet", "super cute", and "smoked filled", by some. It's a story about these very young girls Chika, Miu, Matsuri, and Ana who're all friends. Also Chika (who is shown getting her cheek poked by Miu) has an older sister named Nobue who's kind of a subdued girl, very laid back, but insanely addicted to nicotine.

The series is family-friendly as well, so anyone can watch it, even young children, given, if you don't mind the smoking.

My only real gripe about this series is how there is really no story to it, no plot. Most of the episodes are just basically about the daily life of these girls, and their (sometimes silly) antics. Miu especially, she's so spoiled.

The final episode though too, made no sense. I didn't feel that "everything was summed-up" or that "happily ever after" feeling, you know? They just kind of played the theme music and that was it. It almost feels too short, because I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for a plot to come, but it never came, and then suddenly the series ended.

This anime is high on the cute factor and may give a few laughs for some, but overall, don't expect any "edge of your seat" entertainment here.
