School Rumble Review

School Rumble is a romantic comedy series which revolves around a girl named Tenma Tsukamoto. (the girl shown) She has a secret crush on a stone-faced, mild-mannered, and quiet boy named Oji Karasuma who hardly even notices her. The love-sick (but generally clueless) Tenma finds it difficult to confess her love to him.

The plot thickens when the school bad-ass and delinquent Kenji Harima, (the guy shown) ends up in the same class as Tenma, and he has a crush on Tenma. But he too, has difficulty confessing to her. The attempts of the two characters to confess their respective loves are running gags seen throughout the whole series.

Harima (the tough guy) is such a fascinating and hilarious character that he alone makes the entire series worth watching. Throughout the series everyone at school is afraid of him, bullies are always trying to kick his butt, and the whole time he's terrified of this little girl Tenma who doesn't even notice that he exists. This series will literally have you anxious to see what happens next in each new episode.

For most of us guys who have ever had a crush on a girl when we were young I think we can relate to how Harima feels. It's just so funny to watch him though, saying to himself "Today's the day! Today's the day I'll tell Tenma how I feel!!!" only to fail miserably each time due to some mishap. It almost makes you feel kind of sad for the guy. But he keeps trying to talk to her, and get close to her regardless.

This series can be enjoyed by the entire family too. It's a fun series to watch for any age group.
